Dato’ Othman bin Semail was appointed as Non-Independent, Non-Executive Director of AmanahRaya Trustees Berhad on 18 September 2017. He was subsequently appointed as Non-Independent Chairman of the Company on 31 January 2019.

Dato’ Othman currently sits on the Board of Malaysian Kuwait investment Co. Sdn Bhd (MKIC), Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), Lembaga Pembangunan Perindustrian Malaysia (CIDB) and Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS).

Dato’ Othman has over 37 years of experience in the public sector. He began his career as an Assistant Agriculture Officer at Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) in 1982. He moved on to the Planning and Corporate Division of Ministry and Primary Industries as an Assistant Secretary in 1998.

Thereafter, he joined the Ministry of Finance in 2005 as an Assistant Secretary in the Government Procurement Division. Dato’ Othman proceeded to undertake numerous positions before he was promoted to his current position as Deputy Secretary General (Management) in October 2018.

Dato’ Othman holds a Master of Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and graduated with a Bachelor of Natural Resources Economics from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) in 1996. He also holds a Diploma in Public Administration (1999) from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) and a Diploma in Agriculture from UPM (1982).

Encik Adenan bin Md Yusof was appointed as Non-Independent, Non-Executive Director of AmanahRaya Trustee Berhad on 17 October 2016. He is presently the Group Managing Director of Amanah Raya Berhad.

He is experienced with AmanahRaya’s business and its operations, previously having held the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its subsidiary, AmanahRaya REIT Managers Sdn Bhd, Manager of the public listed fund, AmanahRaya Real Estate Investment Trust (ARREIT). During his tenure as the COO from 2010 to 2015, ARREIT had achieved incremental growth resulting in stable and sustainable returns for AmanahRaya REIT unitholders.

Encik Adenan started his career at two of the largest architectural practices in the United States. During his tenure at Harry Weese and Associates as well as Lohan Associates, he gained valuable expertise in the development of various building types from residential properties to 5-star hotels and office buildings. Thereafter, in 1993, he joined KLCC Berhad and worked on the prestigious Petronas Twin Towers project.

Encik Adenan later joined Amanah Capital Partners Berhad in 1995 and was responsible in overseeing all property investments under Amanah Capital Group. Subsequently, in 2003, Encik Adenan moved to KUB Malaysia Berhad as General Manager and was later seconded to KUB Realty Sdn. Bhd, the property arm of KUB.

In 2008, Encik Adenan joined Terengganu Incorporated as the Group General Manager to head its property investment division and was tasked in drafting a strategic plan for its property investment. Prior to his return to AmanahRaya, he was the Senior Vice President of Special Projects at UDA Holdings Berhad.

Encik Adenan holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago, Illinois, USA. He also holds a Capital Market Services Representative’s License since July 2013 and was the Vice Chairman of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association and a member of its Regulatory Committee.

Dato’ Haji Chee Pee bin Samsudin was appointed to the Board of AmanahRaya Trustees Berhad on 7 March 2019 as an Independent, Non-Executive Director. He also serves as Chairman of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Committee. He has been Director of Amanah Raya Berhad since 2 March 2011. He is also a Board Member of a several subsidiaries of Amanah Raya Berhad Group.

He began his career as an Accountant in the government sector in 1982. His extensive experience includes serving at various government departments including Ministry of Finance, Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding (IKIM), Economic Planning Unit in Prime Minister’s Department and Perbendaharaan State of Kedah as the State Treasurer for nine (9) years.

Previously, Dato’ Haji Chee Pee was appointed as Board Member of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP) from 1 March 2016 until October 2017. Dato’ Haji Chee Pee was also the Accountant General of Malaysia from January 2015 to October 2017. Presently, he is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad since 29 March 2018.

Dato’ Haji Che Pee holds a Bachelor in Accounting (Hons.) and is a Member of the Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He is also a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA).

To’ Puan Azian binti Mohd Aziz was appointed to the Board of AmanahRaya Trustees Berhad on 7 March 2019 as a Non-Independent, Non-Executive Director. She serves as a Member of the Audit, Compliance & Risk Management Committee of AmanahRaya Trustees Berhad and is also a Board Member of Amanah Raya Berhad since 15 May 2017.

She began her career as Federal Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers in 1987. She has held various positions throughout her career, such as Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Transport, Senior Federal Counsel in Advisory Division and Research Division of the Attorney General’s Chambers, Senior Assistant Parliamentary Draftsman and Legal Advisor Ministry of Defence.

In 2010, To’ Puan Azian was appointed as the Director General of the Judicial and Legal Training Institute (ILKAP) of the Prime Minister’s Department. Subsequently in 2012, she was appointed as Treasury Solicitor in the Ministry of Finance and assumed the role of Deputy Head of Advisory Division (Municipal) I of the Attorney General’s Chambers in 2014. Thereafter, To’ Puan Azian was promoted as the Head of International Affairs Division, Attorney General’s Chambers in 2016. From 1st November 2018, she assumes the post as the Head of Advisory Division, Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia.

To’ Puan Azian holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) (Hons) from University of Malaya.

Encik Hassan bin Ibrahim was appointed to the Board of AmanahRaya Trustees Berhad on 7 March 2019 as an Independent, Non-Executive Director. He serves as a Member of the Audit, Compliance & Risk Management Committee of AmanahRaya Trustees Berhad and is also a Board Member of AmanahRaya Investment Management Sdn Bhd.

Encik Hassan has over 10 years of experience serving Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad from 1976 to 1988 in the Legal and Project Evaluation & Investment functions.

In March 2007, Encik Hassan established a legal firm, Messrs Hassan & Associates which focused on corporate and conveyancing matters. Prior to that, he was a partner with Messrs Zainal Abidin & Co. since 1989 and was involved in the same area of specialization. During his tenure with Messrs Zainal Abidin & Co., he attended to the preparation and completion of several project financing facility documents based on the Shariah principle of Al-Ijarah, Murabahah and Bai-Bithaman Ajil.

Previously, Encik Hassan was appointed as Board Member of i-VCAP Management Sdn Bhd. Presently, he is a Director of Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) since October 2014 and is also a Board member of SPNB Aspirasi Sdn Bhd and SPNB Idaman Sdn Bhd, which are wholly owned subsidiaries of SPNB.

Encik Hassan holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from University of Singapore.
